Intro: Start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.

How to Draw Alice Step 1
Step 1: Start by drawing a big oval with a pointy bottom similar to an egg shape near the middle of the page. Leave enough room on the left side to draw Alice's hair. The shape doesn’t have to be perfect or look exactly like the image above. It’s just a basic guide for Alice’s head.

How to Draw Alice Step 2
Step 2: Under the oval, draw two curved lines as guides for Alice's neck and shoulders.

How to Draw Alice Step 3
Step 3: Next, draw two intersecting lines across the oval, one vertical and one horizontal. Bend the lines so they follow the contour of the shape. Draw two smaller lines in between the horizontal construction line and the bottom of the oval. These will be construction lines that will help you place Alice's facial features later on.

How to Draw Alice Step 4
Step 4: On top of the horizontal construction line, on either side of the vertical construction line, draw two shapes as guides for Alice's eyes. The shapes have a sharp angle on the lower right side and an arc on the upper left side.

How to Draw Alice Step 5
Step 5: Draw a curved line similar to a letter C on the left side of the head as a guide for Alice's ear.

How to Draw Alice Step 6
Step 6: Draw a couple of curved lines around Alice's head as guides for her hair. The longer line starts on the upper right side of the head, then goes over the head and ends above the left shoulder. Draw a smaller line on the lower right side from the face to the right shoulder.

How to Draw Alice Step 7
Step 7: That's it for the initial sketch! You have the basic shape for Alice. Now go in and tighten your drawing. From this point on, press harder with your pencil in order to get darker lines and a more defined sketch.

How to Draw Alice Step 8
Step 8: Use the vertical construction line and the smallest of the horizontal construction lines as guides to draw Alice's nose. The bridge of the nose starts above the right eye. The line curves in toward the vertical construction line and then comes out again to form the point of the nose. The line finally ends at the smallest of the construction lines. Draw a tiny line on the left side for Alice's nostril.

How to Draw Alice Step 9
Step 9: Darken in the shape of Alice's eyes and make the corners rounder and the sides bulge out more. Draw Alice's thick, curved eyelashes above each eye. Draw a curved line above each eye for her eyelids.

How to Draw Alice Step 10
Step 10: Inside each eye, draw a circle for Alice's irises. Inside each iris, draw smaller circle for her pupil and an even smaller circle to represent glare. Shade in the pupil. Draw a thick line above each eye for Alice's eyebrows. The line on the left side is longer because of perspective.

How to Draw Alice Step 11
Step 11: Now draw Alice's mouth right on top of the lowest of the horizontal construction lines. Alice's upper lip is similar to a very wide letter M with a line underneath it. Her lower lip is just two widely curved lines similar to letter U’s on top of each other.

How to Draw Alice Step 12
Step 12: Use the initial line above Alice's head to draw the first part of her hair. Divide the top in two. The left side of her hair curves down toward the left side of her head and then covers the top part of her ear. The right side of Alice's hair is a curved line that ends where the right eyebrow is.

How to Draw Alice Step 13
Step 13: On the left side of Alice's hair, draw her headband. The headband is made up of two curved lines that go from the top of her head to the left of her ear. On top of her hair draw a couple of angular lines for her bow.

How to Draw Alice Step 14
Step 14: Darken the left side of Alice's hair. Draw the locks of hair that drape over her shoulders using a series of curved lines that come to a point. Use the image above for further reference when drawing.

How to Draw Alice Step 15
Step 15: Use the original oval shape to draw Alice's face. Notice that the line that creates her face dips inward where the right eye is to create her cheek. Draw the ear and neck using the original lines as guides.

How to Draw Alice Step 16
Step 16: Draw Alice's collar below her neck. Draw a curved line below her neck, and then add a big W-shaped line below that to complete her dress collar.

How to Draw Alice Step 17
Step 17: Use the original lines for Alice's shoulders to create the white part of her dress that goes over the blue part. Draw a widely curved line under the collar, and then draw a series of lines over the shoulders for the sleeves.

How to Draw Alice Step 18
Step 18: That’s it! You now have a nice sketch of Alice from Walt Disney's Alice in Wonderland. You can stop at this quick drawing for a rough, sketchy look or go for a more finished look by continuing to the step below.

How to Draw Alice Step 19
Step 19: For a more finished, inked look, carefully draw over the final sketch lines with a pen or marker. Wait for the ink to dry, and then get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser. You now have a finished inked drawing of Alice! You can stop here or go to the final step to complete your Alice drawing.

How to Draw Alice Last Step
Final Step: For a completely finished Alice drawing, you have to color it. You can use markers, color pencils or even crayons! Alice has blond hair, so color it yellow. Her headband and bow are black. The bottom part of her dress and her eyes are light blue. Alice's lips are pink, and her skin is peach. If you don’t have peach, improvise and use yellow-orange or light brown. That’s it! You now have a completed drawing of Alice from Walt Disney's Alice in Wonderland
